Selling Dads 1973 VW Thing. Now titled in my name. Collector vehicle in very nice condition. No visible rust. Daily driver. Always covered in the garage. This vehicle was seeing improvements with updated wheels,new tires, TMI carpet set, electronic ignition, and a fresh tune-up prior to his passing. Now for sale.
Notes: Runs and drives great. We take it to cars shows. Clean and bright :) Super fun car to drive. Tires (14”) have less than 50 miles on them. I have three center wheel spinners. One is lost. Chrome. Sale comes with the original wheels and tires. The sale also comes with a concerted tip frame and cover. The cover has a tear in it and no rear window. Comes with four window curtains. The pans are solid with no rust, however, there is new metal under the battery.
Needs:
Front seats could use new covers and padding. Nothing urgent.
Headlight switch may be bad. Light come on and off. I ordered a switch.
Minor paint rub, light scratch, imperfections. It is a 1974.
Rear passenger axle boot torn. Sale with come with a spare axle. Does not affect the drive.
I feel it could use a front end alignment. Dad didn’t. Pulls to the left slightly when the brakes are hit hard. Disk brakes would add a lot.
Lights, blinkers, brakes work. Wipers work, cigarette lighter works.
Has a heater. We have not fired it up.
Has the original stereo and speaker. We have not fired it up.
Comes with the original VW jack
Turn the key and go! Manual 4 speed. Gears are tight and smooth.

Again, this is a super nice vehicle. It is a 73 however. This is not the ,000 car that just sold at auction. It is also not the ,000 sold for parts. Bid with confidence. My reputation is worth more than the car, and I have sold on eBay since 1999.
