Antique 1800s Shipwreck anchor

A while back I purchased the contents of an estate in a Massachusetts coastal town, this anchor was displayed on the grounds proudly!  The previous owner told me how his grandfather would tell them the story about his grandfathers grandfather recovering this anchor from a known wreck, sadly he could not recall the name of the ship that it came from only that it was a wreck that had some history. sorry but that is all of the provenance that I can attach to it. this anchor is in fantastic condition and has the real patina that you would expect from being on the bottom of the ocean for who knows how long, he thinks it was relayed that it is early 1800s but could not prove it in any way. just passing along what I was told... the measurements are...6' tall roughly 3" in diameter with the bottom portion 42" across point to point. I do not know the exact weight but it takes 2 strong men to move it.  this is a pickup only situation in East Bridgewater Massachusetts.
