Is there a SAFE method to prevent a thief from starting the car?
On all cars built in recent years, there is an engine control unit, equipped with an extremely effective and safe “immobilizer” system. A UNIQUE code for EACH CAR is registered on this control unit, which is the same as the one present on your keys. It is therefore impossible to start the vehicle without the coded key, not even through the "EOB.D" diagnostic socket.
But then why are car thefts still a present phenomenon, indeed constantly increasing?
Until now, there was a very simple method to start a car equipped with an immobilizer, with the aid of a "scodified" control unit. This is nothing more than a second control unit, suitably reprogrammed in such a way as not to require the code of your key to start the engine. Simply REPLACE the original coded engine control unit with a reprogrammed one without code: in this way anyone with extreme simplicity, even without any type of key, can start your vehicle in less than 3 minutes !!!
