17 holes in 1/32" increments from 1/8" to 5/8" Additional Holes Make it Easier to Make Dowels Precision Machined and Ground 3/8" Thick A2 Tool Steel Make Custom Dowels from Hardwoods, Softwoods and Exotics Hardened to 59 to 61 Rockwell C for long lasting edges This new design offers woodworkers and makers the first commercial dowel plate with 1/32" (0.031") increments between hole sizes to make the process easier than traditional plates with 1/8" or 1/16" holes. This is especially helpful in hardwoods. The holes are counterbored which means the hole bottom diameter is larger to reduce friction on the dowel as it passes through each hole.
