Firstly, House of Edgar woolen mills weaves this (12/13oz.) medium weight 100% premium wool fabric in Scotland. Woven 28-30 inches wide (single-width also referred to as “kilting width”). Medium weight tartan is a good compromise between light and heavy weight tartan. If your tartan is available in medium weight, we recommend it for casual and formal kilts. Also makes nice ancient kilts and phillabegs. 200+ tartans available. Because it is cut from the roll and shipped from Scotland just for you, tartan yardage is a special order item.
