    Description

An over-the-cup tea strainer, this 1.1 T. oz., all silver piece has a 2 1/2" wide by 1" deep bowl with a 2 3/8" long handle on one side, and a shorter, matched lip on the other.
As imprinted on the bowl edge, it is model "159" made by Gorham, whose name, "lion, anchor, G" emblem, and "Sterling" appear alongside the number.
Arts and crafts in manner, the arm and lip are reticulated in something of a Chippendale style, while the fine piercings in the bowl are a dot and star pattern.
The arm has a shaded block letter "D.I.C" monogram.
Dating circa 1930, it is finely made and remains in equally fine condition. There are no bends, dents, or splits, and the finish is bright and even.
