  • Condition: Very good giftable condition. I see one spot where a pierced leaf has detached from an adjacent swirl. Crystal sides, rim and cut decorations are free of chips and flea bites, although base is lightly scratched commiserate with age and use.

    Description

    Wonderful Gorham Sterling Silver Top String Dispenser with Cut Crystal Body. Measures about 3.25'' in diameter. Rare & unusual item. C. 1900.
    Dimensions:
    3.25” Diameter.  Crystal height is 2”, Silver is 1.25” High.
    Silver weight: 36 grams
    Very good vintage giftable condition. No mentionable flaws.  Crystal has no chips, flakes, mends, breaks, or hairlines.  Bottom surface is scratched, commiserate with use and age.  Pierced silver is has one miniscule tear between leaf and swirl.  Othere wise, no dents, bashes, or mentionable boo-boos.
    Hallmarks: Gorham’s old mark (lion / anchor / “G”), “Sterling”, and “S3044” (probably a model number)
