Description
Heat Wave Pro is a high R-value lightweight multi layer material. The jute material which absorbs sound, is made from natural cotton denim and is treated for fire, mold, and mildew resistance. The reinforced foil fabric is laminated to both sides to increase radiant reflection and add durability. Some of the many uses for this thermal-acoustic barrier include; reducing heat and noise generated from engines, exhaust and transmisions. Install on top of Damplifier or Damplifier Pro to increase thermal insulation, and reduce both structure borne noise and air-borne noise. Heat Wave Pro has a Class A fire rating and meets fire resistance (FMVSS 302).HEAT SHIELD AND SOUND ABSORBER: Heat Wave Pro is a thermal acoustic jute sound and heat insulation material sandwiched between two layers of reinforced foil. The foil acts as a radiant barrier while the jute interior enables a high sound absorbing coefficient (NRC = 0.45) and provides additional heat insulation.
RADIANT BARRIER: With an R-Value per inch about 50% better than the typical insulation found in your home (3.91), Heat Wave Pro is temperature rated to 250 F and reflects 97% of radiant heat.
UNDER HOOD INSULATION: The reinforced foil fabric creates a radiant heat barrier to insulate your car hood from both engine noise and heat. This car hood insulation will help keep your cabin cool and protect your hood’s paint job.
HEADLINER INSULATION: Heat Wave Pro should be applied above your car headliner fabric to insulate your vehicle from the sun’s heat. When added above standard headliner material, you will keep heat out in the summer and in during the winter.
