The system accommodates blades of different thicknesses and hardness levels. Each hone is color-coded to represent the grit level for easy identification. There are also varying blade-sharpening angles for polishing and fine-tuning edges to a desired sharpness. The safety holders are finger-grooved and mounted to the sharpening stones for consistently efficient use. This kit also includes specially formulated honing oil for application to the blade and stones to keep the reconditioned blades in tact and help with the sharpening process.
