Description:
A beautiful pair of tall and heavy colonial style brass candlestick holders. The candlestick holders, which were made probably in the 1960s or 1970s, are marked on the bottom WM (for Winterthur Museum) Reproduction. The sticks have an ornate base with a repeat pattern that looks like a foot along the edge of the base. The central tall columns are shaped with the top looking like a flower supporting a tall and deep cup where the candle would fit. The column ends in a 1 3/8" deep and ~1" internal diameter cup where the candles would fit. The cup has a shaped edge. A beautiful pair of colonial reproduction brass candlestick holders to use around your home or to add to your collection. Unknown but most likely last quarter of the 1960s or 1970s.
Origin:
Purchased at an estate auction in Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Size:
Both pieces measure ~8 7/8" high with the base measuring ~5" in diameter. The cup where the candle would fit is ~1" in diameter on the inside and ~1 3/8" deep. Both pieces together weigh slightly over 3 pounds 3 ounces.

Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece:
A nice vintage pair of candlestick holders with the Colonial look and having a beautiful shapely and tall design. A pair to use around your home or worthy of a spot in any collection.
Condition:
The candlestick holders are in excellent lightly used condition. They have no breaks, repairs, or defects. They do have a few minor surface scratches and some minor soiling, which we believe can be easily cleaned. The candle holding cups have some waxy residue from being used. This too will likely clean easily but we leave that to the discretion of the new owner. Other than that, the pieces are in exceptionally good condition, great looking and beautiful.
