The 18-hole "Ridgemoor" course at the Ridgemoor Country Club facility in Chicago, Illinois features 6,922 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74.1 and it has a slope rating of 137 on Bent grass. Designed by William B. Langford, ASGCA/(R) Robert M. LohmannThe greatest competitive moment in Ridgemoor's history came to fruition in 1942. The Hale America National Open was arranged to replace the
United States Open
that was canceled due to World War II, and would be staged at Ridgemoor Country Club. Sponsored by the
