Sachtler HOT-POD 14 Aluminum Hot-Pod Tripod Legs with Pneumatic Column
in good working and PERFECT cosmetic condition!
This is the industry/ rental house standard for ENG quick-set-up tripods.
Quick set-up Legs are straight and deploy easily.
Features super high quality German
Construction, 100mm bowl w/ standard 3/8-16 threaded port, automatic leg deployment,
center self rising pneumatic - assist column and very solid torque-twist free operation.
Includes additional Porta Brace heavy duty suede leather shoulder strap.
*Operational Notes (There is a slight learning curve to using this tripod - manuals & tutorials are available online):
1) To engage pneumatic column: first pull up on the silver lock lever to release, then push down on the bowl and
flip down the safety latch- center column will automatically rise.
2) To adjust leveling bowl simply pull down the U-shaped handlebar to the down position, adjust the bowl, then
raise the handlebar up to locked position.
3) To deploy legs, raise the center spreader hub to the silver line to unlock- legs will deploy/ drop automatically.
Push the hub all the way down to lock legs.
4) To install fluid head (100mm bowl w/ 3/8-16" standard threaded post); Pull the U-shaped Handle bar to the down
position and start screwing in the head to the floating nut all the way till the fluid head bowl nearly touches the tripod
bowl (you will need to insert a screwdriver etc. in the hole (pix #6) to stop the floating nut from spinning). Pull up the
U-shaped handle to lock (you may need to make fine adjustments till proper operation is achieved).

The Sachtler Hot-Pod is equipped with a video fluid head to provide the smoothest movements possible when panning the camera. Since that time I never changed any DA aluminium tubes in any tripods - what I cannot say about CF carbon fiber tubes. Right now I have on my shelf 12 tubes 16 mm, 20 mm and 22 mm all with cracks and broken even after few years of works. Every year around 20 - 25 broken CF tripods in our store! And it is true! CF - just temporarily fusion  and extra 500$.
