    Description

    Greetings,
    You are bidding on a Silver Takarabune "Treasure Ship of the Seven Lucky Gods" by Japanese Silversmith, Takehiko Seki. "Sterling 960 SEKI" engraved on the back of the ship. The ship is led by a great majestic Phoenix decorating the bow.  Sterling Silver Ship with gold plated highlights. Silver plated sea with waves. Mounted to a wood base and encased in a rectangular wood-framed glass cover.
    Circa 1960's
    Takehiko Seki was born in 1908 and in 1922 moved to Tokyo to become an apprentice of silversmith Tajima Katsuyuki. Seki perfected his art under master Kosaka Munehiro, and established himself as a bonafide silversmith in 1936.
