This is a listing for a Wedgwood porcelain and sterling mounted compact from the Hidden Treasures Collection, and is called "The Venice Mirror". It measures 3 inches or 7.6 cm in diameter and is 1 1/2 inches high. The compact features a beautiful cameo at the center in gold with blue and white glazed stripes around her. All accented with heavy applied gold highlights. The compact opens to reveal a mirror on one side and another cameo motif that faces it. The box is mounted in sterling silver and is marked "WEDGWOOD", along with the silver marks "JW 925" and the anchor mark for Birmingham. The compact is in very good condition with some wear to the gold vermeil on the silver.
